Des Moines-based American Enterprise Group Inc. announced today that its Medico Insurance Co. subsidiary has entered into an agreement with AARP to offer short-term care insurance to AARP members. The product is expected to be offered in several states in early 2020. The coverage for costs associated with transitional or in-home care is designed to complement existing health care coverage as a part of a customer’s overall health care insurance protection plan. “As a leading provider of insurance to the 50-plus population, our mission is to create solutions that help customers secure their financial futures,” said Tom Swank, CEO of AEG. “We are pleased to have AARP’s brand on this important solution for AARP members.
