The Taxpayers Association of Central Iowa is sponsoring a virtual town hall during which the five people seeking seats on Broadlawns Medical Center’s board of trustees in the Nov. 3 election will be introduced. Broadlawns was established in the early 1900s as a way to provide medical care for the indigent. Five people are seeking election to two seats on the board. The candidates are: Kavilash Chawla, Dylan Lowe, Dave Miglin, Bill Taber and Emily Webb. The town hall is from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 28.
