Meet the Above and Beyond Cancer team this evening
A send-off picnic and ride-along is set for 5:30 p.m. today at the Des Moines Water Works Park south shelter for Dr. Richard Deming and the eight cancer survivors and caregivers who make up the Above and Beyond Cancer team. The team will ride bicycles more than 3,000 miles in seven days in what is called the Race Across America. At the picnic, there will also be an opportunity to decorate water bottles to send with the team to pay tribute to someone touched by cancer.
