The Iowa Department of Transportation has scheduled a meeting to accept public comments on the draft of the Iowa Statewide Transportation Improvement Project. The meeting is scheduled from 2 to 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 17, on a conference call. The plan identifies all projects proposed for funding by the Federal Highway Administration or Federal Transit Administration for fiscal years 2022 to 2025, and includes projects for state, county, city and federal transportation systems. Comments on the draft plan can be made at the meeting or by contacting Matt Chambers at matthew.chambers@Iowadot.us. Comments will be accepted through Sept. 7.
