Mercy College to offer online paramedic, EMS programs
Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines will begin offering online courses this fall for people seeking a paramedic certificate or an associate’s degree in emergency medical services. The expansion of these programs will include more flexible face-to-face options for students during the day, evenings and weekends, the college said, as well as local and remote face-to-face skills labs throughout Iowa. David Flipp, Mercy College’s EMS program chair, said the program will be a “game-changer” for people who don’t have time to attend traditional classes. The college has provided EMS education in central Iowa for over 30 years and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. The deadline for fall enrollment is July 15. For more information and to apply, click here.
