MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center has been recognized by industry journal Becker’s Healthcare in its 2019 list of 100 great hospitals in America. The 100 hospitals on Becker’s list include high-performing hospitals, recognized for excellence in clinical care, patient outcomes and staff and physician satisfaction. According to Becker’s: “These institutions are industry leaders that have achieved advanced accreditation and certification in several specialties. They also spark trends in developing health care technology, hospital management and patient satisfaction.” Two other Iowa hospitals — UnityPoint Health Cedar Rapids and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics — were also named to the list.
