Merx Truck & Trailer, a truck and trailer repair and maintenance services provider, recently acquired Majestic Truck Services, a truck service company based in Altoona. Merx Truck & Trailer provides a range of services, including diesel engine repair, transmission repair, brake repair, collision work, paint and oil changes. The acquisition is Merx’s third this year and second in the Des Moines market. Majestic has been part of the truck and trailer body and collision repair industry since 1979, operating from a 53,000-square-foot facility. As part of the transaction, Majestic will be integrated into Merx Truck & Trailer. “We are very pleased with the way this partnership developed,” Mark Hyland, president of Majestic, said in a prepared statement. “Our customers will now benefit from an even wider range of services and resources; our employees will have significant room for growth in an active and rapidly growing organization.” Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
