Meta Financial Group reports increase in earnings
Meta Financial Group Inc. reported 2012 fiscal first quarter earnings of $3.1 million, an increase from the $0.7 million reported in its 2011 first fiscal quarter.
Interest income and reduced operating expenses. Additionally, total revenue (interest income plus non-interest income) for the 2012 first quarter was $25.3 million compared with $24.9 million for the same quarter last year.
The revenue increase in this quarter was driven by an increase in gain on sale of securities of $0.5 million.
