Meyer to retire as president of Greater Des Moines Partnership
The president of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, Gene Meyer, will retire in January 2021, with current CEO Jay Byers taking on the consolidated role of president and CEO, the organization announced today. The Partnership also announced other promotions it says will support the organization and region in the future, as well as improve diversity and inclusion, and protect and promote the economic health of the region. Effective Jan. 1, 2021, Chief Strategy Officer Tiffany Tauscheck will be promoted to chief operations officer and Vice President of Communications Courtney Shaw will be promoted to senior vice president of communications. Effective immediately, Sanjita Pradhan, who currently serves as the program director of talent development, will be promoted to diversity and inclusion director. “I am excited for what the future holds for The Partnership with these leaders taking on new challenges and opportunities,” Byers said in a news release. Tom Mahoney, Greater Des Moines Partnership board chair, said the moves will “ensure the organization is in the strongest position possible to serve our investors. These are the right moves at the right time.”
