Microsoft releases tablet device to rival iPad
Microsoft Corp. unveiled its new tablet device yesterday in an effort to compete with Apple Inc.’s iPad.
Microsoft’s Surface tablet will have a 10.6-inch display and run Windows 8. Microsoft previously abandoned making hardware and focused its business primarily on software development, letting other companies create the personal computers (PCs) the software would run on.
The Surface tablet is meant to be used as a tablet and a PC and comes with a keyboard that also serves as a cover. To read more about the Surface unveiling, click here.
