MidAmerican Energy races to 100 percent renewable energy vision for Drake Relays
MidAmerican Energy Co. is continuing to pursue 100 percent renewable energy for the Drake Relays, five years after beginning work for the annual races. Since 2014, MidAmerican Energy has donated renewable energy certificates to the Drake Relays from its Pomeroy wind farm, located in Pocahontas and Calhoun counties. MidAmerican Energy is halfway to its goal of delivering 100 percent renewable energy to all customers in Iowa, the company said in a statement.
