MidAmerican warns customers against potential scam
MidAmerican Energy Holdings Co. is advising customers to watchful of suspicious calls from scam artists posing as MidAmerican customer representatives.
In a release, MidAmerican said it has received several reports of a scam artist who will call and tell customers that their payment is past due and service will be disconnected if payment isn’t given over the phone.
MidAmerican recommends that customers do not give out credit card numbers over the phone and they contact MidAmerican’s customer service line at (888) 427-5632 to confirm whether the call was legitimate.
