The Iowa Architectural Foundation and Iowa Mid-Century Modern have announced the Midwest Modern Home Tour in Des Moines on June 4 from noon to 5 p.m. The self-guided tour will feature four noteworthy midcentury homes in the Des Moines metro area, showcasing the iconic lines and materials of midcentury architecture. Attendees can visit with homeowners about their restoration or renovation process and how they selected their home’s furnishings. Tickets go on sale April 30 at Modest Modern Home Tour, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Iowa Architectural Foundation’s educational programs for children and adults.
