A mobile food pantry will operate at DART Central Station for the first time Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m., and every first and third Thursday of the month from then on.

A mobile food pantry will operate at DART Central Station for the first time Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m., and every first and third Thursday of the month from then on. The Des Moines Area Religious Council mobile operation services 420 people monthly at 12 locations in Greater Des Moines. Elizabeth Presutti of the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority said the offering helps the community by providing two services — transit and food — at the same time.
