Des Moines Register: More problems have surfaced at the $175 million new Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison, which opened nearly two years late in 2015 because of construction flaws allegedly caused by bad design work, repeated changes, conflicting directives and a host of other issues. The latest problem involves condensation in “multiple buildings” related to the maximum-security prison’s heating and cooling system.
