Three familiar names in Greater Des Moines real estate sales and development wound up with new jobs at the start of the year.
 

Barb Hokel is running the property management and brokerage divisions of World Group Commercial Real Estate in Greater Des Moines. The Omaha–based company opened an office in late 2013 at West Glen Town Center in West Down, a property its parent companies bought for nearly $35 million from its local owners. Hokel has 26 years experience in the Greater Des Moines commercial real estate market. She was with NAI Optimum in West Des Moines for nine years and prior to that was with Denny Elwell Co. in Ankeny for 17 years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Casey Shelton has formed a commercial real estate division at Grimes-based Landmark Cos. Inc. Shelton will handle retail, office, warehouse and land transactions. The new division is called Landmark Brokerage Services Inc. Shelton was most recently with Knapp Properties Inc. and has worked for R&R Realty and Regency companies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Justin Washburn has joined the residential division of West Des Moines-based Caliber Iowa, a construction and development company that focuses on home building, commercial construction, multifamily development and property management.  Caliber Homes currently has projects in Adel, Ankeny, Huxley, Story City, Urbandale, Waukee and West Des Moines. Washburn worked the last five years for Vista Real Estate Investment Corp.
