The Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will host a public meeting to receive input and comments on an amendment to the Horizon Year 2035 (HY 2035) Metropolitan Transportation Plan on Oct. 6.

The HY 2035 plan is intended to serve as a guide for transportation system decision-making in the area. The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) has requested that the MPO amend the plan to recognize the University Avenue/Ingersoll Avenue loop as a potential corridor for additional investment through the DART Forward 2035 long-term plan, pending a DART study.

The meeting will take place at 11:45 a.m. at the Greater Des Moines Partnership Building, 700 Locust St.
