VisionBank, which began operations in 2006, received approval last week from the Iowa Division of Banking to move from its temporary location at 1601 West Lakes Parkway, Suite 100, to an 18,000-square-foot custom building now under construction in the Village of Ponderosa, 620 S. 60th St. (illustration at right).

Hromatka said he expects the building will be completed Dec. 1, but the bank may push its move back to January 2008 if 60th Street hasn’t been reopened.

The boutique bank will feature a comfortable lobby with glass walls on two sides looking out on the development, with a coffee bar and Wi-Fi access for customers. It will also have a three-lane drive-up and a separate ATM drive-up. Ladco Development Inc. will lease the main floor and lower level to VisionBank, and initially lease the 4,500-square-foot upper floor for office space.

Other new branches approved to open in Greater Des Moines include:

Union State Bank, Winterset, has established a West Des Moines branch office at 6305 Mills Civic Parkway, Suite 3121. The 2,200-square-foot branch office opened on Sept. 6.

Legacy Bank, Altoona, expects to open a 4,700-square-foot, full-service branch in Commerce Park, 13001 University Ave., Clive, on Nov. 1. It will be the bank’s fourth branch location.

Keystone Savings Bank, Marengo, plans to open a branch office at 6901 N.E. 12th Ave. in Pleasant Hill.
