Des Moines Register: Go the Distance, the group that owns and operates the Field of Dreams site near Dyersville, is scheduled to announce a massive makeover for the site today, using $80 million in private investment to build youth baseball and softball fields, team dormitories and a hotel, among other improvements. The group, which purchased controlling interest in the movie site last year for an undisclosed amount, has high hopes for the overhaul, which is expected to be completed in phases by the end of 2023.
