Tupelo Honey Cafe, which is opening in downtown Des Moines on March 22, is hosting a hiring fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekday through Feb. 25 at the Des Moines Marriott Downtown Hotel, 700 Grand Ave. The restaurant has full- and part-time openings for hosts, servers, bartenders, server support, line and prep cooks, and dishwashers. All employees are guaranteed to be paid at least $14 an hour, including wait staff if tips do not get them to that rate, according to a release. Open interviews will be conducted with the restaurant’s executive team on a walk-in basis, and applications will also be accepted on-site. Applicants are requested to bring a resume and two forms of ID to the event. Applicants are also encouraged to apply online here. The new restaurant will be located in the Miesblock building, located at 665 Grand Ave.
