The firm’s parent company is New York-based Acreage Holdings, formerly known as High Street Capital Partners, which says it has cultivation, processing and dispensing operations across 12 states. Acreage Holdings plans to build its new facility in an industrial area on Cedar Rapids’ southwest side. Company President George Allen predicted the facility would cost roughly $10 million, the same amount that the state’s only other licensed cannabis manufacturer, MedPharm, is spending to build in Des Moines.
