Jackie Norris submitted her resignation as the president and CEO of Goodwill of Central Iowa, according to an email from the organization. “Goodwill is taking some time to determine our path forward and to look at the best way to replace Jackie’s role,” Carly Flaws, marketing director, said in an email. Norris had been leading the organization for four years. In a statement, she said: “The work of Goodwill is admired by many, supported throughout the communities it serves, and truly transforms lives. That’s why I’m confident Goodwill of Central Iowa’s Board of Directors and leadership team will attract a number of executive-level candidates who will be equally passionate about leading this great organization. I’m also confident this is the right choice at the right time for me. I stayed to make the tough decisions needed to manage the safety measures and operational changes related to COVID-19, and now I can turn my attention to other ways I can serve our community and evaluate other opportunities that align with my experiences and passions.” Susan Rathjen, board chair, said Norris made strides in elevating the brand of Goodwill in the community and improving board engagement.
