NOTABLE TRANSACTIONS: Car wash property in Clive sold to Georgia-based entity

Marc 1 Holdings, an entity managed by Atlanta-based Mammoth Holdings, paid IA11 10056 Clive LLC $6.2 million for property at 10056 Hickman Court in Clive, Polk County real estate records show.

A Silverstar Car Wash with tunnel wash system opened on the site in July. The site previously was occupied by a fast-food restaurant. A building permit that valued the construction project at $3.2 million was issued for the building in September 2023.

The Clive location was Silverstar’s first car wash in the Des Moines area, according to a news release. A second car wash opened in Windsor Heights in August.

Silverstar Car Wash, which has 30 Midwest locations, is part of Mammoth Holdings’ multi-brand portfolio of car wash brands, according to a release.

The Clive transaction was recorded Aug. 12.

In other transactions:

Jeremy and Jennifer Reed paid Custom Holdings LLC $1.4 million for property at 7961 N.W. 28th Lane in Ankeny, records show. The 1.7-acre parcel includes a recently built single-story house. The transaction was recorded Aug. 13.

William and Kristin Rose paid Grand Oakcrest Townhomes LLC $2.1 million for property at 4011 Grand Ave. in Des Moines, records show. The property includes a newly constructed, 2,952-square-foot townhouse. The transaction was recorded Aug. 15.

Joseph Wickard paid Kimberley Development Corp. nearly $1.2 million for property at 11590 N.W. Brookefield Court in Grimes, records show. The 1.1-acre parcel includes a recently built single-family house. The transaction was recorded Aug. 15.

OMG Midwest Inc., based in Ankeny, paid the Joe and Helen Goode Trust Number Three $5.1 million for farm property in northwest Polk County, records show. The property is located on the southeast corner of Northwest 26th Street and Northwest 66th Avenue in northwest Polk County. The transaction was recorded Aug. 16.

TT & C Cooperative Housing, based in Marshalltown, paid Ankeny Acres LLC $1.3 million for property at 214 N.W. Chapel Drive in Ankeny, records show. The property includes Chapel Apartments, a 16-unit multifamily development built in 1973. The property is valued at just over $1 million. The transaction was recorded Aug. 16.

Brittainey and Aage Lauridsen paid Anant Bhalla and Anubha Lal $3.8 million for property at 28 Foster Drive in Des Moines, records show. The 1.8-acre parcel includes a 7,013-square-foot house built in 1918. The transaction was recorded Aug. 16.
