NOTABLE TRANSACTIONS: GreenState Credit Union buys land in Grimes

GreenState Credit Union paid Hope K Farms LLC $849,420 for property at 100 S.E. Gateway Drive in Grimes, Polk County real estate records show. The 1.5-acre tract is just west of where a new Hy-Vee grocery store is planned. It’s also less than one-half mile west of where a new Dupaco Community Credit Union is expected to open in late 2021. GreenState was previously known as University of Iowa Community Credit Union. The vacant ground the credit union purchased is valued at $2,010. The transaction was recorded on Sept. 17, records show.

The city of West Des Moines paid the Timothy and Maureen Hildreth revocable trusts $558,000 for property at 1566 S.E. Maffitt Lake Court, records show. The West Des Moines City Council in May approved buying nearly 48 acres at Maffitt Lake Road and Veterans Parkway. The land is expected to be the future home of a West Des Moines fire station and training facility. Included in the land the council approved buying was 7.8 acres that had been owned by the Timothy and Maureen Hildreth revocable trusts. The transaction was recorded on Sept. 16.

Colaman RE Holdings LLC, based in Denver, Colo., paid Karma Properties Iowa LLC $750,000 for property at 2221 63rd St., records show. The property, valued at $606,000, includes a two-story apartment building with 12 units and a single-family house constructed in 1920. The transaction was recorded on Sept. 17.
