NOTABLE TRANSACTIONS: Investment group buys Ankeny property from Catholic organizations

293 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentTJL Investments LLC and other investors paid Mercy Foundation of Des Moines and the Iowa Catholic Foundation of Southwest Iowa $3.4 million on Feb. 7 for 118 acres of farm ground in northwest Ankeny, Polk County real estate records show.
The ground (see map) is south of Northwest 18th Street and west of Northwest Weigel Drive. An unknown parcel of the ground was then sold to St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church for $140,000 on March 12. St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic, the first Catholic school in Ankeny, is located at 1102 N.W. Weigel Drive.
O Full Armor LLC, based in Cedar Falls, paid KMG Holdings LLC $4.97 million on March 16 for property at 220 50th St. in West Des Moines, real estate records show. The property includes a Kum & Go convenience store and gas pumps constructed in 2017. The property in 2019 was valued at $2.2 million, records show.
The Robert D. Johnson Revocable Trust paid Julia and Mark White $1 million on Feb. 7 for a single-family house at 13048 Oak Brook Drive in Urbandale, records show. The house, built in 2016, was valued at $1.2 million in 2019, records show.
Car City Merle Hay LLC paid Car City Inc. $1.5 million on March 9 for three properties on which used car sales lots are located, records show. The properties are at 4544 and 4550 Merle Hay Road in Des Moines and 5806 Meredith Drive in Urbandale.
Oakstone Homes Inc., based in Ankeny, paid Chayse Holdings LLC $627,750 on March 16 for nine residential lots West Des Moines, Dallas County real estate records show. The lots are part of Whisper Ridge Plat 2, located west of South 86th Street between Mills Civic Parkway and Rockwood Lane.
