NOTABLE TRANSACTIONS: Italian firm buys land in Perry for production facility

ADR Axles USA, an affiliate of the Italian company ADR S.p.A., plans on building a 54,000-square-foot production facility in Perry. The project is estimated to cost $14.6 million. ADR Axles produces axles for farm equipment manufacturers including John Deere and Kinze Manufacturing. The transaction was recorded May 21.

Browns Shoe Fit Co., headquartered in Dallas Center, paid 44 Investments LLC $435,600 for property at 608 Sugar Grove Ave. in Dallas Center, records show. The 2-acre undeveloped parcel abuts property the Iowa shoe wholesaler acquired last fall. Cammie McKenzie, president of Brown’s Show Fit Co., told the Business Record in November that relocating the company from Shenandoah to Dallas Center would allow it to develop an on-site training facility and expand its warehouse. 5820 Winwood Dr LLC, based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., paid Peak Realty LLC $4.8 million for property at 5820 Winwood Drive in Johnston, records show.
