Scott Siepker is back as the face of Des Moines in Catch Des Moines’ new video in the “Des Moines: The S’s are Silent” campaign. This one is “Des Moines: The S’s are Silent. Our Seasons Soar.” It’s about attractions in various seasons. That muse somehow treats up to Siepker, the local actor and TV program host, dressing up as Paul Stanley of Kiss. Decking out in Oktoberfest attire, and some kind of ill-advised, shorts-based white outfit at Prairie Meadows, where he hit a five-credit jackpot. As a hockey goalie. As an ice-skater. As a Drake Relays competitor warming up in “shorts weather.” Dodging fake snow and fake rain. He appears at the State Fairgrounds, where he appears to use an unusually long corn dog as a microphone. And he offers this wisdom: 

“Cold is just a state of mind.”
