NOTEBOOK: DART app gaining steam

95 wordsBusiness Record Insider, The Insider NotebookThe folks at DART, which specializes in getting us around on buses and by other means, decided to make a high-tech play last October with the MyDART app. The software lets us use our phones to track buses, see arrival and departure times, pay for rides, and make trip plans. Since it was released, the app has been downloaded 4,247 times. Riders have used it to buy 12,062 fares, plan 16,076 trips, search for bus times 83,856 times and look at real-time bus location maps 29,652 times, reports the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority.
