Kansas City lovers and Chiefs fans, rejoice!

Des Moines-based Full Court Press Inc. will open its latest concept restaurant this month — Truman’s KC Pizza Tavern. The tavern’s name pays homage to the Truman Sports Complex in Kansas City, where three of the owners ? Rob Jackson, Andy Massoth and Dan Massoth ? grew up. Located at the corner of Southeast Sixth Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, the tavern features Kansas City Chiefs booths and memorabilia from the Chiefs, Royals, Monarchs, Kings and Scouts.

“The atmosphere and beer offerings are heavily inspired by Kansas City influences,” Massoth said. “We’ve enjoyed conceiving this old-school retro sports bar and hope our guests feel comfortable here.” 

The casual bar and restaurant opened its doors to the public March 15 with a limited menu.
