115 wordsBusiness Record Insider, The Insider NotebookI sat down with Andrea Woodard of the Greater Des Moines Partnership the other day to discuss her recent promotion, and her esteemed media-assisting colleague, “the Brit” Sam Hoyle, warmed a chair at the end of the table.
Along the way, Woodard mentioned her service as vice chairwoman of the Des Moines Park and Recreation Board. She noted that she leads the urban conservation committee, and with a slight chuckle added that committee members often discuss invasive species. Generally that refers to species from another area, which could run amok if you don’t keep them under control.
“Are you calling me an invasive species?” Hoyle quickly asked Woodard. A good chuckle was had by all.
