CEO Jim Masterson’s Des Moines-based LightEdge Solutions, which provides cloud services, was featured along with its SubTropolis location in Kansas City on NBC’s “Today Show” Oct. 16. Host Harry Smith, a graduate of Central College in Pella, showcased unusual workplaces. SubTropolis is an underground business complex built in a former mine. LightEdge has a 60,000-square-foot data center there. LightEdge also has data centers in Altoona and Omaha. “I’ve seen the cloud, and it’s located in a mine in Kansas City,” Smith reported. See the report tinyurl.com/gptol44
