Kim Reynolds considers sports betting legislation approved by lawmakers this year, it’s worth noting how sports betting has been doing in states that legalized it once the Supreme Court ruling cleared the way for it. There are two pieces worth reading. Here, the New York Times looks at a small town in Mississippi that had a lot riding on the success sports betting. Then there’s also this March piece by Legal Sports Report. Both articles note that states that passed laws allowing it aren’t getting exactly what they had hoped. It seems only New Jersey has really seen the money flow.
