In this article from Business Insider, Pat Wadors, the chief people officer at construction-tech company Procore, discusses her strategy for hybrid work and the three questions she asks herself when approaching the question of returning to the office. Most of the California-based software company’s 2,000 employees have been working remotely since the pandemic began, but the company is beginning to adopt a hybrid model of returning to the office. The questions Wadors asks as she begins her own journey are:
- Am I getting the work done that I expected to get done?
- Do I feel there’s better quality output?
- Do I feel more energy as we execute?
Wadors, who led human-resource teams at LinkedIn and Yahoo before joining Procore, said it’s not only about production and efficiency, but also about engagement. “I want to enjoy the journey of work, not just the output,” she said.
