At the moment, Midwestern fairies average about $4 to $4.37 for the first tooth, and $3.44 for the remaining teeth, said Dr. Jeff Chaffin, dental director of Delta Dental of Iowa. “During good economic times, it seems like the Tooth Fairy leaves more money. This year it didn’t exactly track with that, but that’s been the trend over time,” Chaffin said.
