About: We know that collaboration between nonprofits and businesses is becoming increasingly important. But how do we take the first step? How do we build these partnerships? What is the “secret sauce”? In this session, Nate Clark, associate director, corporate citizenship, at John Deere and vice president of the John Deere Foundation, will share Deere’s Cycle of Citizenship on building stronger relationships by developing meaningful volunteerism. Together, we will explore various ways to engage businesses and nonprofits by using John Deere as an example. Sarah Bonefas, development director at Food Bank of Iowa, will then join us and highlight some unique ideas from a nonprofit’s perspective. Participants will walk away with applicable examples and a model that can be replicated.
