Brian Chaffin will lead Olsson’s growth strategy across Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Dakotas as the engineering firm’s new north-central geography leader. He will serve as a senior vice president and oversee a geographic area that includes nine Olsson offices and several hundred employees. Olsson, headquartered in Lincoln, Neb., offers design and consulting services in planning and design, engineering, field services, environmental and technology. “Brian is a talented leader with a wealth of knowledge and experience,” Ron Mersch, Olsson chief operating officer, said in a prepared statement. “We’re excited for Brian to build upon our momentum in the north-central region.” Chaffin has been at Olsson for over 20 years and has experience leading mechanical and municipal engineering teams and projects. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
