One Iowa announces new executive director
One Iowa has named its new executive director. Daniel C. Royer was chosen in a national search and will begin leading the organization Sept. 1. He has more than 14 years of experience leading nonprofits and most recently was executive director of the Iowa Alliance in Home Care. Royer has also been an advocate for LGBTQ equality, including serving on the Capital City Pride Board and the One Iowa Action Board. He replaces Daniel Hoffman-Zinnel, who resigned in August to pursue another career opportunity. Courtney Reyes, currently serving as interim executive director, will be promoted to a newly created position as assistant executive director for One Iowa.
