Southwest Iowa was dealt a double blow with the announcement Tuesday of layoffs at two manufacturing plants in the area.

Radio Iowa: Southwest Iowa was dealt a double blow with the announcement Tuesday of layoffs at two manufacturing plants in the area. Eaton Corp. confirmed that its Shenandoah plant would close sometime this year. Four years ago, Eaton laid off 250 employees at the plant. Also Tuesday, officials with Red Oak’s American Hydraulics plant announced that 56 workers were being laid off.
