Optimae LifeServices announced it will expand its services in Marshall County by opening a Marshalltown residential care facility. The new residential care facility (RCF) will complement Optimae’s existing RCFs in Story County and provide additional services to the Marshalltown area, which it began serving in March 2020. Optimae’s new RCF will offer people with mental illness and disabilities assistance with day-to-day living activities to help them succeed and, in some cases, transition out of the facility. Optimae’s long-standing service to individuals with mental illness and/or disabilities first led the CICS mental health and disability service region to request that Optimae begin providing services in Marshall County. CICS, an Iowa Mental Health and Disability Services Region, serves individuals and strengthens communities in 15 Iowa counties. “Optimae’s RCF will be an asset to this community,” said Summer Lai of Center Associates Integrated Health Home in Marshalltown, which coordinates services and support for individuals receiving habilitation services through Iowa’s Medicaid program.
