Dr. Marva Lewis with Tulane University will speak at an educational forum on June 10, organized by Orchard Place. The presentation will be part of the Orchard Place Trauma Informed Care Conference. The Trauma Informed Care Project consists of more than 40 community stakeholders who promote the education and adoption of trauma informed care practices to recognize and curb the impact of frequent and prolonged exposure to stress on a person’s health. The presentation will start at 5:30 p.m. at the Airport Holiday Inn in Des Moines. Registration and more information can be found online.
