Part of Ashworth Road will close on Monday
A section of Ashworth Road in the area where it crosses Interstate Highway 80 will be closed beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday. The portion of the road that will be closed, near the city line between Waukee and West Des Moines, is between 88th Street south of the interstate and 88th Street north of the interstate. Work crews will be installing storm sewer under the existing roadway. The work, which includes pavement replacement, is expected to last up to five weeks, weather permitting. The detour for this project is Grand Prairie Parkway to University Avenue to Jordan Creek Parkway to Ashworth Road.
