The Greater Des Moines Partnership announced it will host its inaugural Regional Summit on Oct. 3 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building. The Regional Summit, which was first announced at the Partnership’s 2024 Annual Dinner, will provide opportunities for community, business and civic leaders in the 11-county Greater Des Moines region to connect and collaborate. According to a news release, the event programming will aim to foster dialogue and strategies that address various opportunities and challenges faced by rural, urban and suburban communities. “At its core, building a stronger region is rooted in relationships, and that’s what the Regional Summit is all about,” said Tiffany Tauscheck, president and CEO of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, in a prepared statement. “We’ve heard feedback from our Investors, affiliate chambers of commerce and members on an eagerness to strengthen connections between communities in our region, sharing more ideas and ways to problem-solve together.” Additionally, participants are invited to attend the Partnership’s annual Economic Impact Awards following the Regional Summit programming. The Economic Impact Awards recognize local companies for their contribution toward the economic and community vitality of Greater Des Moines.
