Partnership’s Pradhan awarded diversity society’s certification

Sanjita Pradhan, the program director of talent and development at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, has been awarded the Certified Diversity Professional certification from the Institute for Diversity Certification. According to a news release, Pradhan’s diversity certification was earned by completing a structured curriculum that combines the latest research, best practices, terminology and legal information for diversity and inclusion programming. The certification focuses on using diversity and inclusion to achieve organizational goals. Pradhan’s key focus at the Partnership is leading initiatives to carry out its Global DSM: International Talent Strategy and leading both internal and external diversity and inclusion initiatives. Pradhan has been an active volunteer and advocate for foreign-born talent. According to the release she was appointed by President Barack Obama in 2015 to serve on the President’s Advisory Commission for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Pradhan has also served as a member of the Partnership’s Inclusion Council, and serves as chair of the West Des Moines Human Rights Commission and civic engagement director for Iowa Asian Alliance.
