Greater Des Moines Partnership spokeswoman Susan Ramsey, the organization’s senior vice president for communications and marketing, is leaving to become communications director at Iowa Public Television. Her last day at the Partnership is Feb 13; she starts at IPTV Feb. 16. At the Partnership, Ramsey managed internal and external communications, public and media relations, and organizational branding. She played a key role in the Capital Crossroads vision plan efforts, which eventually led to the Cultivation Corridor initiative, among many others. She also guided regional marketing of Central Iowa for business and workforce attraction and expansion. Partnership executives Jay Byers and Eugene Meyer, in an email to Partnership associates in the business community, wrote, “While this is indeed a sad day for us, it is a very exciting opportunity for Susan, and we wish her the very best.”  A Bettendorf native who graduated from Iowa State University and joined the Partnership in 1997,  Ramsey worked in radio and television for 15 years, including as assistant news director at ABC5.
