The Urbandale Food Pantry is scheduled to hold its first-ever “Pedal for the Pantry” fundraiser on Sunday, after it had to cancel its biggest fundraiser of the year because of the coronavirus pandemic. According to a news release, “Pedal for the Pantry” is a virtual event where riders support the pantry for $30 per person and cycle around their neighborhood or on their favorite trails anytime during the day. The pantry is also hosting a VIP experience in which participants will ride stationary bikes at the pantry, 7611 Douglas Ave., with local VIPs. VIP slots are full, but the community is encouraged to watch the event on the pantry’s Facebook Page. People can still register for the virtual “Pedal for the Pantry” by clicking here.
