The Pella Rolscreen Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Pella Corp., has donated nearly $225,000 to eight Central Iowa community organizations. The grants will support a variety of local programs and initiatives in communities where Pella team members live and work, the company said in a press release. “Pella has a culture rooted in caring, both for our team members and the communities we serve,” said Karmen Gardner, executive director of the Pella Rolscreen Foundation. “These deserving organizations are doing great work here in Iowa, and we are thrilled to help contribute to their important initiatives.” The largest of the grants, $50,000, was awarded to the Spirit of Pella, a nonprofit group, for a downtown enhancement initiative.
