A local after-school program for refugee students has been awarded a $15,000 grant by AT&T. Pi515 confirmed the grant in a tweet this morning. Pi515 is a nonprofit after-school coding initiative aimed at building STEM skills in refugee and underserved youths in Des Moines, and building the state’s future technology workforce. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math.
