The Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce announced the 2022 winners of the business, citizen and volunteer of the year awards. NuCara Pharmacy was honored as the business of the year, Ric Powell as the citizen of the year and Scott Fiscus as the volunteer of the year. NuCara Pharmacy has been a staple of the Pleasant Hill community for 10 years. It is known to go extra lengths to help its customers and stands out from other pharmacies by offering compounding for custom medications and delivery, chamber leaders said. Powell is a well-known leader in eastern Polk County. He has dedicated his life to making a positive impact on communities through work, coaching and volunteering, the chamber said in a news release. Fiscus has been active with helping the Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce with its events for the past several years. He can often be found helping with setting up and tearing down one of the events in addition to helping run it.
