Russ Paul has been named public works director for the city of Pleasant Hill. Paul first worked for Pleasant Hill in 2007 as a seasonal employee and later became the city’s first stormwater coordinator while also serving as an equipment operator. He later joined the Des Moines’ Public Works Department before returning to Pleasant Hill in 2015 as assistant public works director. Paul has a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Iowa and a graduate certificate of public management from Iowa State University. Paul will be paid $119,247 annually.
