Poll: More Americans think health-care law will hurt economy
Americans are more likely to say the Patent Protection and Affordable Care Act, which was upheld by the Supreme Court last week, will hurt the national economy rather than help it, according to a recent Gallup poll.
Results found that 46 percent of Americans believe the law will hurt the economy, 37 percent believe it will help the economy and 18 percent said they don’t know or that it will have no effect.
Results are based on telephone interviews conducted July 2-3 with a random sample of 1,061 adults, aged 18 and older. The margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points.
